Leadtek Winfast PX7600 TDH Extreme

I am about to embark on a bit of overclocking with this card and I wonder if there are others out there that have experience with it.

The card comes from the factory pre overclocked a bit (590Mhz up from 560Mhz GPU, 256mb - 1600Mhz up from 1400Mhz of DDR3 SDRAM 1.2ns) with a beefier cooler on it. Its an Nvidia 7600GT GPU

I would like to know the best way to squeeze more fps out of the card, short of going the SLI route as I really cannot afford a second card at the moment.

The card comes with its own utility for overclocking, but I wonder also whether or not it would be better just to change its bios settings with NiBiTor or something.

Thoughts?

Just use ATiTool 0.26 which can be downloaded here. If you can't afford a new card and yet wanna squeeze every bit of performance outta that card, try voltmodding. You definitely want an aftermarket cooler for the mod, and the guide can be found here. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. Although my card allows voltage changes through its BIOS. I may try this first. I did apply the coolbits registry setting and then tried overclocking through the driver's properties. I was able to change the clock frequencies, but everytime I clicked the button to test the settings, a message returned stating that the test failed, even if I only changed the frequencies by as little as a few Mhz. I am not sure if this is because the gpu/memory is already clocked at its upper limit, or if it is just a matter of raising the voltages. Perhaps this ati tool would be more helpful in determining this cards overclocking capabilities...
