Restarts on stock voltage chip doing synthetics

Thread Starter
I built a system with a 4670k for my friend.

Originally it would go through some of the prime95 benches O.K at stock speeds (avx2).

I then added 0.01v and went to 3.8ghz for all cores. Crash.
up to 1.27 (from 1.21) and crash.
Went back to stock (auto) and used LinX with the avx2 libraries - crash.

I then took out the chip and put it in my fully working setup (4670k 1.26v 4.4ghz avx2 stable) and set the voltage to 1.26 @ STOCK speeds, it also crashed in MY computer. That rules out any problems with other hardware.

I am at a loss. I am terribly worried NCIX is going to test it and find it fine, and my friend is stuck with a lemon. Any ideas on what to do guys?

By the way I have never seen a blue screen, it literally dies almost instantly into the benchmark and just reboots.
