Weird shadows bug in Rust.

Hey guys, theres a new game in development called Rust. (playrust.com)

For some reason the shadows in the game can sometimes be completely black, when they are supposed to simply be a shade darker, so it's absolutely impossible to see at night (the second the sun sets infact). It's strange because it doesnt always happen, infact if I reboot my computer, it fixes the problem every time.

My other system does not have this problem (HD 5770, 1090T BE at 3.9ghz). Both running latest drivers.

If it where a game bug, restarting the game should fix it, but it doesn't. Only a full reboot does.

What could be causing the problem? Is anyone else experiencing it?

key phrase here is "in development" report it as a bug and move on. When you play beta you get stuff like that.

It's just strange because it only happens on this one system, and no amount of restarting the game can fix it, only restarting the entire computer.

Was just wondering if others have also experienced the problem, the game is released in a few weeks, so perhaps it's best for me just to wait to see if the problem is on their end.

Thanks for the reply smile.gif

There are generally going to be certain bugs in games where it only happens on certain system setups and configurations.

Now, depending on how many people get this bug and report it may or may not determine if it will be patched or not. So the best thing you can do for now is report it like bombastinator said.
