Gaming Headset Recommendation

I have to go ahead and admit that I'm absolutely clueless about audio products. That being said, I don't need the most advanced, highest quality headset out there, as I probably won't even be able to fully appreciate it. However, I do want a quality product that provides a higher level of SQ than I'm used to.

1) State your budget! (Set an absolute maximum or give a relative maximum with + x amount if it will be amazingly better).
- I'd like to keep this ~$100, but I could jump up to $150 if absolutely necessary. (Including headset and, if necessary, sound card)

2) State your music tastes
- These will be used pretty much exclusively for gaming, but just to add some info I'd say Pop-Punk/Indie Rock/Alternative.

3 )State what perks are highly desirable (low impedance, heavy bass, excellent for gaming etc..)
- Excellent for gaming is the primary concern here.

4) State what products you already have and are planning on using with your recommended item (state whether you have an amp if you're looking for headphones with high impedance for example)
- I've got the MSI z87 Mpower, which uses the Realtek ALC1150 and apparently has an integrated 600Ω headphone amplifier, but from what I've read I'd be better off with a sound card.

5) State how you are going to use the item (e.g. out-and-about, at the gym, at home, PC / console, gaming, music etc). The more detail in this, the better.
- As stated numerous times, pc gaming is going to be the main focus. I play a pretty wide range of games, but FPS and MMORPG are the majority of my library.

6) State where you live and offer some sites that are known for having good prices / being reputable so we can help recommend you products in your country's currency (like Amazon or ebay).
- I'm located in the United states. I'm very familiar with many of the mainstream, and a few of the more niche pc component stores. However, if there are better places to look for audio equipment feel free to let me know!

I have had these for a couple of years and still love them. It's like wearing a cloud...

Hm, I was looking at those, as well as the Corsair Vengeance 1500 V2, which seem to be about on par with those. I've been trying to shy away from a lot of the "gaming" headsets though, as a lot of sources seem to say that many of them are just gimmicks/low quality compared to less mainstream options.

I appreciate the response, and I'll have to keep them in my considerations!

OCN recommendations (mic recommendations also included)
Basically:
Headset = "gaming" product

So you can't really get away from gimmicky gaming stuff when you buy a headset.
And by gimmicky I mean that they add 30% to the original price of the headphone from just adding a 10$ mic to it.

Those headsets that are not made by audio brands are super-gimmicky.
Qpad QH-1339 for example is OEM Beyerdynamic MMX300, and the other QH headsets are similar in build design so I guess they are also made by Beyerdynamic.
And on the other hand Asus ROG Vulcan is made by.... I don't even want to know thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

So if headphones + mic is not an option...
Siberia V2 as cheap as you can find?
Or the AKG GHS 1?
Qpad headsets seem to be overpriced in USA rolleyes.gif
