Bored with Video games?

There are seldom games out there that i will play singleplayer. Is it just me does the xbox seems to be more social?.., everyone has mic's and communicates. I ended up buying a radeon 7950 about 8 months ago, since than i've sworn off the Xbox one because i have a great gaming rig. On the new video card, i've played a few great titles all the way through on singleplayer. Tomb raider, mass effect 3, far cry 3. Great games...However most video games are geared towards multilayer with single player campaigns that are terrible (BF3 and BF4). I got bored of BF3 online after about a week...mostly due to the fact that i dont know anyone that has a gaming PC that plays and i'm playing with random people...everyone i know has an xbox. So in essence BF3 is just random killing, since i never plugged in a MIC as i wasn't playing with anyone i knew.

Do people even use mics on BF3 or BF4 for PC? i Rarely hear people chat. Am i right to think that the reason im bored with most of these video games is because i dont have a MIC for the PC and im not really communicating with a team? If this is so, what is one to do when all their freinds have the xbox or playstation and i have a gaming rig. I really dont want to fork out the money for an xbox, when my PC cost so much already and supersedes the new console generation.

Im plagued with boring single player titles, such as:

Grid 2, Dirt showdown...even the need for speed titles are getting old.
I remember the console games like halo and forza, or PGR4 where i had a blast.

Mics tend to be slightly more common on XBOX Live yeah. If you want more interesting PvP shooters, try Natural Selection 2 and Rising Storm (which also have more communication than casual games like Battlefield). There's also great co-op games like No More Room in Hell (which is free) and Killing Floor.

I see you listed Mass Effect 3, if you only played that one then you missed a lot. Mass Effect is one game split into three different parts, I recommend playing through the series from start to finish with all the DLC too. Some of the other gripping single player titles include the Dragon Age series (especially the first one), The Elder Scrolls series, Fallout series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Metro series, Dishonored, and Deus Ex series... you may want to give some of them a try especially with the Steam autumn sale going on right now.

I see you listed some racing games too; I hear great things about Assetto Corsa, and if you're into online racing then check out iRacing. Also keep an eye on Project C.A.R.S.

YOu just got to take a break man it's as simple as that.
I haven't played games in a couple of months, bought BF4 and played it for a few days until my GPU died!
It's all about taking a break. Buy games you would never think of buying etc..
