Dark wavy line on monitor

Hey guys.

So I found this thing glaring at me eyelessly from my HP ZR2740w just today. I initially thought it was dust or something but it clearly does not come off. It can be seen only against dark backgrounds, it's completely invisible on brighter colors. I tried messing with the brightness adjustments and changing from DVI-D to DP even though I was pretty much certain that this is beyond my ability when I figured out that it wasn't just dust. The panel couldn't have been damaged as I haven't moved the monitor for over 3-4 months. Any idea what could have caused this and what to do with it? The warranty should still be up if that counts for anything. I apologize for the image quality beforehand as the only camera I have is on my HTC One Mini.

It's either a failing t-con board or liquid inbetween the light-filter and the panel.

Needs service if still in warranty smile.gif.

Will my retailer take care of this or do I have to ship it to HP overseas? Also, any convincing arguments that there hasn't been any physical damage to the monitor should they make such a claim?
