Is this laptop gaming capable?

I know that laptop hardware is watered down, and I am not entirely sure on just how watered down it actually is.. The specs are: Processor: Intel 2nd Gen Core i5 i5-2410M / 2.3 GHz ( 2.9 GHz ) ( Dual-Core ) RAM: 4GB Graphics Processor: Intel HD Graphics Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0 I am hoping that the lack of 4 cores in the CPU will be made up for in a better graphics?

its gaming capable but don't expect all too great performance out of a HD3000 for anything past light games and some newer titles.
I have the same specs essentially in my MBP and I can game just fine if i wanted to; CSGO, COD4, Hotline Miami and Borderlands 2 all run fine.

1280x800
Borderlands 2: 24-30fps on Low
CSGO: 45-50fps on Medium
Pre-Source: 60
Hotline Miami: 60fps
CoD4:
35-45fps on High (Depending on server population).
50-60 on Medium (Depending on server population).

Dishonored: Unplayable
Mechwarrior Online: 24-30fps Low

Its enjoyable but only really for select games. Above which are very low power demand.

Alright. Thanks! I knew it wasn't gonna be super amazing laptop for games, but you pretty much told me everything I need to know lol. I really wanted to try running FFXIV on this, but I am sure it will crap a brick.
