$50 mouse? For League Of Legends.

Thread Starter
So i currently have a very cheap $3 mouse on my $1,500 computer and the it's the only thing that needs to be updated at the moment rolleyes.gif. I mainly play Bf4, Witcher, and Skyrim when i'm not playing League of Legends....I play League Of Legends about 5 hours a day.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=26-104-857

This mouse is currently $50 free shipping, and it comes with Kha'Zix a free champion which makes me want it even more biggrin.gif

Is this a good deal for $50? I don't want to pay 1 penny more than $50. Or is there a better mouse?

Thanks biggrin.gif

The retail price of that mouse is $70, so $50 with a character unlock in the game you play is a good deal.

Is it a good mouse? The main reason a lot of people on this forum would poopoo that mouse is it uses a laser sensor. Laser sensors have built in acceleration (the distance your cursor moves is effected by both the distance you move the mouse and the velocity, instead of just the distance) and laser mice tend to have a high lift off distance (you have to move the mouse high off the pad to get the mouse to stop registering movement)

another downside to that mouse is even without any of the extra weights in the mouse and not counting the cable, it weighs 121 grams, which is on the heavier side. Heavier mice tend to lead to fatigue faster than lighter mice.

logitech does have decent build quality, and their ergonomics are quite comfortable and if the down sides i mention don't matter to you, sure, get it.

another option would be the cm storm spawn you can get it for $33 plus shipping at amazon or $50 on newegg

it uses a good optical sensor, so doesn't have the acceleration or high lift off distance of a laser mouse, it is pretty light, 86 grams not including cable. it also has a good build quality. Also if you get it for $33 on amazon, maybe you can afford to unlock that char with the money you save (no idea how much unlocking chars cost)

Well, I don't know if you like buttons on mice, but I find the G600 a great mouse to use (I prefer it over the G700/s). Newegg and Amazon currently have some refurbished for $35, but you can pick it up new for $65 on Newegg, or $60 on Amazon.

I haven't played LoL or BF4 yet, but I can say that using the G600's buttons on Skyrim is awesome. You can practically map all of the keys on the mouse (bar wasd), and that applies to just about every game that I've played.

Hey there,

I also play LOL (Diamond 1/NA) and it all depends on what kind of grip styles you have along with size of mouse that you prefer. I personally love small ambidextrous (specially for RTSs games like sc2/lol) I've been using G9X with no grip ever since SC2 came out and it was such a wonderful mouse (loved the fact that it was so light with great tracking) unfortunately it stopped working and I had to look for a replacement. I purchased Razer Krait 2013 and it was a good mouse but i felt like something was missing so I tried the G100s and the sensor/grip didn't feel all that great, so last week i ordered Zowie Mico and oh boy why didn't i get this mouse from the start. This is the perfect G9x replacement that I've been looking for small, light and great sensor! So the bottom line is, if you are into small ambidextrous mouse like myself, you should definitely give Zowie Mico a try, if not you can also try CM Storm Spawn because I heard alot of good things about it (with latest firmware update) anyway good luck!

Bad mouse for a game like LoL, its heavy, bulky and at the same time very narrow palm grip mouse. Also has adns 9800 sensor with + - 5% accel and no idea how good input lag problem was fixed, its probably not responsive enough. Free champion is just a trick for LoL players to buy it.

I suggest g100s, CM Storm Xornet or TT Azurues mini.

there a reason you suggest the xornet over the spawn? same weight, same ergonomics, spawn has a better sensor and is only like $5 more.

The G500 has inbuilt mouse acceleration so I wouldn't recomend that mouse if you take your games seriously, if you're just a casual player then it doesn't matter as much.

Take a look at the:

CM Storm Spawn- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153056
&
Razer Abyssus- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153056

both have what a re considered "flawless sensors". You need to try some out in a shop ideally (don't need to be plugged in) and find out which mouse is most comfortable for you.

I recommend the G400. My previous mice was the G500 and I find the G400 better but mostly because of the shape.
