Battlefield 3 was good, really good. Much better than that COD garbage. Then Battlefield 4 came along...its like BF3 but polished.

I just wish they would actually fix the stuff they say, i.e up until a few days ago you shoot people and physically see them flinch from getting it but it still says they have 100HP. Now the same thing happens but it says they have 0HP?!

And fix the damm problem with team mates not having a blue icon, its so unbelivably annoying.

Apart from these two fixes, all I wan to see is Second assault released and its pretty much perfect for me.

I really enjoyed BF3 when I purchased it about 3 months after release. I found it very smooth performance wise with a 6870 on High and 1x 670 at Ultra. On the other hand, it's very unusual for me to not have a round in BF4 where frame rates drop below 60fps from 100fps, regardless of settings, GPUs (1x 670 and 2x 670s). On the unusual occasion where I get a buttery smooth round, all round, it is a very good game. It just isn't anywhere near as smooth as BF3 was, and that is what ruins it for me!

Battlefeild has been a fail since BC2 u young guys just dont see it because thats all u know,dont get me wrong the game looks good but lack of hit boxes and general BS that comes with poor game coding has to be fixed! If u guys dont beleive me go play a game of World at War or even some Rising storm now that is what hit detection is all about! And another thing i know thye are working on it but one patch a week REALLY? At that rate to fix the game completely will put us into the next presidency! Not sure why we only can get a patch on Tuesdays either these guys are a joke

This is definitely a case of rose-tinted glasses. Battlefield has had bullet hit detection issues since BF2 (I'm pretty sure BF:1942 and BF:V used hitscan). BF2 felt like it had random bullet deviation, with only certain weapons taking all the cake (Medic G36E's come to mind). It's also unfair to compare Battelfield with at least the CoD series, considering CoD also uses hitscan. Rising Storm is probably a better example, but I don't have the experience to comment on it.

I'm not going to make excuses for DICE/EA's piss poor patching (see SimCity single player catastrophe), but realistically, I don't think ANY game has a patching process that goes faster than once a week. I did not play BF2 but we agree on alot of this post ,it is a shame that or beloved FPS games have come down to this

Battlefield has always had hilariously dodgy releases. Ever since 1942. It's always been the case and hasn't just happened since BC2...

In fact, most games have a rough first month.

A few things that bug the hell out of me and I just needed to find a place to let it out typer.gif

1. For me it seems like the Server Queue is broken: Whenever I join a server which puts me in Queue, it gets stuck on "connecting" Thereafter I basically cannot join that server anymore until I successfully join another first.

2. The Black screen when spawning in, I always like droping into the action but with the black screen you are almost guaranteed too be send back to the spawn screen. < this has become a bit lessened now, i believe the implemented a bit of spawn protection.

3. HUD Icons.. I don't remember the BF3 hud Icons being as intrusive as in BF4. Best example is in operation Locker CQ large, the ABCD, and player/revive icons are always in the way of the dude running towards you... You don't notice and bam! RPG to the face. All avoidable if those stupid Icons had a setting to make them more opaque or something.

4. This is more of a player base problem.. why oh why do people A) Not revive when they clearly run medic and defrib. B) not give out ammo! I mean really WTH. C) Run directly into the meat grinder instead of attempting to flank a clear route.. Back rage FTW biggrin.gif

Even with all the things that are bad, I still come back to it though... As for the netcode, I don't mind it as much, as everybody has the same netcode, its just a matter of adapting.

Good points but i disagree on a couple,the blackscreen spawn with a knife in your back or a bullet to the face is still there happened a few times last night. Also the netcode thing is total BS u cannot adapt to something that is a random action the only thing u are adapting too is a placebo effect of random deaths and no hit boxes LOL
