ok, poll time boys and girls

A. Keep the RIVEBE and my 4930k that does 5.0 24/7

B. Sell the RIVEBE and 4930k and grab a new asus maximus vi formula and 4770k @ bin the 4770ks till i get one that was as good as my last one ( 5.0 @ 1.25v 24/7)

I just dont find myself using 6 cores ever unless im benching, which i dont even have much time to do that any more. Could pocket a little extra cash by selling these two and "stepping down" to a quad core again, even though i wouldnt consider haswell a step down, especially when you get one as good as my last one.

yep x79 is still better for 3/4 cards, sometimes 2 depending on the board exactly.

I really only use 2 cards max most of the time, sometimes just one, depends on the situation.

Don't tempt me further man, I got an M6F and 4770k that was considering dropping for x79 tongue.gif

rofl, just let me know what you decide and we will see tongue.gif

In the meantime, go ahead and use the SysPrep. I saw your post in the water cooling thread but figured you would see it here for sure. I used it last week after leak testing (just added drops to the res instead of pre-mixing) and it still seemed to work. The water got slightly cloudy and the drained water had a bit of stuff that my radiator flushing didn't catch- maybe from the pumps/blocks but it seemed to help.

cool thanks, ill give it a go probably on sunday so its not sitting in there for too long. Wanted to get some more thermal paste/dye/fittings/waterblocks from frozencpu first before i tear the loop down.

for those that havent seen it yet -

looks like corrosion/staining on my EK nickle blocks. Ill be checking it out more on monday.
