Not yet but I might try to grab one on release, if not I'll grab a second kingpin.

295x2 is a bit overpriced I might as well splurge on Lightnings since its a tad cheaper (yup rolleyes.gif). Sigh, wish I could do it now but I'll see what the future holds for me (hopefully amd price drop with Maxwell launch biggrin.gif).

Sounds good thumb.gif

Considering Haswell-E if the 5930k is an octacore?

As far as the Lightning 290x goes, I haven't been very impressed by what I am seeing in the owner's thread. No binning evident, good memory is all I can see. Not much of an advantage over other cards since everything has unlocked voltage anyway.

Thanks for the info +1. Its kinda of hard to digest dropping $150-200 more vs a 290x (and more vs a 290). But the jump to 295x2 is even bigger (and just for the multiple mini dp???). Wish amd would fix the displayport issues on the 290/290x. Makes it harder to leave my rock solid Tahiti setup frown.gif.

Tri-CFX R9-290s may well be a good replacement for you if the DP Hub is an option.

Nvidia doesn't allow you to run five or six monitors in Surround (thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif). From personal experience, amd drivers are pretty much solid after one year. Right now there's been a few reports of displayport issues and also with the MST Hubs with the single core Hawaiis.

I have one running three of my five dells. Really, the 295x2 has the solution, four mini displayports (just like my R7970 Lightnings). I've already encountered a few ppl with issues running five screens or using displayport or the hubs.
