Yer i know there active amp+passive just seemed to expensive to get anything worth while. It seem its only really worth it if ur spending $1000+ or if you have and awesome knowledge of secondhand 80's & 90's audio equipment! Since i don't it seems far more logical to stick with audio equipment that i can predict and afford frown.gif
And yes I know an Iphone dock, i in general had a rule of thumb that anything that had a iphone dock was a waste of money / there was something better out there thus not worth the money however this seem to get the exception....

This was the original belief also however i would rather buy something a knew was great than something that i had no idea about / impossible to rate, After a bit of research i found a few worth while things i could get secondhand and then found out its really hard to track down the gems of the past at decent prices....

As for JDSLabs' products, they're great. NwAvGuy detailed a list of minimum specifications in order for an amp or dac to sound transparent and JDSLabs has been constantly trying to meet those requirements in their products, usually surpassing them.

I have never minded things sounding a bit warm however point taken Thanks again smile.gif
