PSP overclocking

well my psp that i borrowed from a friend and i dont think he wants it back any time soon(360 is his life now) i want to know if i can overclock it, i heard the cpu on a psp was capped and that you can uncap it to 333mhz for better performance but a little loss of batter life. the batter life does now bother me because i wont be playing it that much

You will need to flash it to 1.5 to overclock it. You most likely have a higher firmware revision, which sucks because they don't allow homebrew. Tell me your revision and I will gladly help you further.

i think i have 2.80 i was going to update to version 3.08 i think it is but i need to charge it and i cant find the charger

GRR! i tried a universal charger but it needs to be exactly 5volts to charge

DUDE WHY IS EVERYONE NICKING MY AVATAR !!!

Any way, the PSP runs at 333mhz when loading etc, it idles at 222mhz and runs some games at that to conserver battery life.

You wont notice any difference in laoding times as it will already be loading at 333mhz. The only time you may notice is on GTA with absolutley **** loads of stuff going on.

I know this is a overclocking forum but please leave OC'ing consoles out of it, it just aint rite lol.

sorry but that avi is awesome and besides yours moves, i havent found one that suits me so ill just use this one for now. but this is of course an overclocking forum and i feel the need to overclock everything if i could even handhelds
