Repeated PS2 Failure

Thread Starter
Greetings,

I have a question; Every time I change anything in my BIOS (on the equipment listed below) I lose PS2 functionality...

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what the culprit might be, or how I could fix this issue?

I want to set my RAM at the speed it is rated at, 2400, but this always results in a loss of said PS2 functionality...

I appreciate anyone's thoughts.

Just changing random settings in the BIOS alone shouldn't disable PS/2 ports. I'd reflash or RMA honestly.

That is weird. Re-flash BIOS, and check ports and connectors for bent / missing pins? Or get USB peripherals? thumb.gif

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try flashing the BIOS first!

CHeck this out: If I try to enter BIOS by hitting DEL of F12, I lose PS2 functionality...

Sounds like a BIOS bug, or incompatibility with your keyboard.

I'd just temporarily use a USB keyboard for BIOS changes.

Necromancing the thread but it is still relevant because I have not found a solution.

I have flashed my BIOS. If I have my keyboard attached via PS/2 and hit DEL to enter BIOS, I lose my keyboard. This seems outrageous.
