Im still checking in all the time. Love the build especially since i also have a 750d and a photon res/pump combo so this has helped with placement and mounting etc.

Could you use something like plastidip for the shield?

I need a new camera, I'm using my iphone 5! do you know of any cheap (200$ used or so) good cameras for low lighting areas that I can maybe start to look at getting? Half of the pictures on here are so professional and its like a hobbie to them, I want to start sharing my pictures in better quality smile.gifthumb.gif

Thanks man yea Im in love with this build to actually but progress is slow as I dont want to put anything in until it is perfect, for instance the little silver EK sticker on the CPU block.... I'm having to take that off and paint the silver black and the logo gold, this is like 2hrs of work just for that one sticker LOL

I will be using the Plastidip this weekent on the I/O and actually will do the shield as well (although I've already painted it black and gold, but the plastidip seems to have a texture to it that I want to see how it looks with the other gloss black smile.gif

Wow they look very good for an iPhone camera...I'm impressed thumb.gif

I don't know much about budget cameras unfortunately but from what I've heard, a $200 or so camera is pretty comparable to an iPhone camera so I don't think it'd be worth getting unless you raise your budget a little.

I have got vinyl from this place www.topvinylfilms.com When you order they send a free squeegee to help apply it. As far as installing it, all you really need to do is make sure the surface is clean and cut the piece out before you remove the backing and just start at one edge of the piece and work your way out.

This is such a great build log man! Loving the picture quality (is this really an iPhone???). Did you use the CooLaboratory TIM for both the IHS and the water block?

I would assume that a $200 camera would be much better than a iphone 5, even older cameras are really good but I don't know anything about cameras, I invested in a big LED light so that helps the camera pics and videos, but I'll have to see if there was a cheaper used Camera that is better than the Iphone smile.gif

do you have pics of your application, I imagine it would be really hard to do this on those really small I/O parts!

Thanks so much man smile.gif yes I used the coolabratory TIM on the top of the HS as well as in between.. I paid $50 for it to get shipped to Canada, so best believe I'm using it everywhere I can!! even GPU blocks if I have enough!! Yea its starting to come together nicely, still have so much to do its frustrating, but in all do time.. and Yes it is an Iphone 5 camera LOL I bought a good light source and purchased the best picture app and these aren't even the best pics I could be taking, I'm fairly impatient when I take pics frown.gif I'll try to be a little more diligent in the upcoming ones smile.gif

Well the quality of the pics is insane for a phone! I use a Nikon D5100 for my pics and Youtube channel vids and absolutely love it! Take your time with this build like you have been. I can be patient and want you to do the absolute best you can with this build! Keep it up!

Yes there are pictures if you look at my build log Agent Orange you will see what I used. The small parts I would have to say I think they would not be very hard to do. Less of an area for bubbles to form under as you lay the film down. I think it would be eraser then doing bigger parts, but that just what I think

When you look at my build I use the film on the mother board tray. Forgot to put that info in the last post. Again it was really nice to work with. This company I though had realy good prices too.
.
This is a befor picture of the mother board tray.

And this is after the installment of the film. Hope this is helpful to you.
I also wrapped the psu with the same stuff and that came out go to.

If you look in the bottom left corner you can see the psu with the film on it.
