Hmmm That's too bad, the entire inspiration for this build was that power supply, it is extremely rare, and has been discontinued for 3 years. It took me over 6 months of searching to find it and got it as the first piece of this build because without it there wanst going to be a worthy power supply.

I Love the gold plate, impartial to the X4, and maybe if I can come up with a different design, remove the black paint and not the gold then I can do something else with it...

I'm going to be working on the video and the contest winner for the rest of the week so I can post it on the 1st, on my channel.

Then going to dismantle the entire case, and do the touch ups on all items before placing them in, bevel + polish the acrylic edges, re-painting the Rads, customizing the front panel for the triple fan base, final coat of paint on the back panel I created and then Delidding the CPU, lighting and onto Acrylic Tubing!.. The final touches will be the custom sleeving, oh and a front mod that Im doing too LOL

this still has another couple months in the works but love how things are going, the precision of the back plate was key and looks amazing, then the res mount was even better as the edges lined up perfectly. Im really happy with how its going smile.gif

Please keep your feedback coming it drives me to know that other people are watching my work and appreciating it thumb.gif

Hmm well I for one am not saying the PSU looks bad. It actually looks pretty decent. Perhaps it is a good edition to the build.

And great progress, best of luck on the rest of the build. thumb.gif

Hey guys I'm not dead!! Just so many little things that are going on and waiting for parts and selling other parts etc.

I ended up getting the only tube available in canada for acrylic tube EK-HD Tube 12/16mm 500mm it was sold out everywhere I think acrylic tube is acrylic tube and I like the thick wall look so you can see the light reflecting off of the liquid inside.

I have been going back and forth on the coloring of the fans or if I should, as well there are a few other mods I changed, went to a gloss blck for the rads and it really pops the rad gold logos, now I am waiting on my Tim to delid so I can start putting things in the case.

Stay with me I'll post some pics this weekend wink.gif

Can someone confirm these work together

With the tubing EK-HD Tube 12/16mm ones imperial the other is metric... I think they are both standard sizes

Finally new poll up what graphics setup should I get next

Good to see you're still around. thumb.gif
Will be waiting on the pics.

As for the GPU setup, doesn't the Z87-Deluxe only have PCI-e 3.0 x8 / x8? Does tri-SLI work well with it? So my vote went to the 2x 780 Ti.

nope the ASUS Z87-DELUXE/DUAL Socket 1150 Intel Z87 Chipset
- Dual Channel DDR3 3000 (O.C.) MHz, 3x PCI-Express 3.0 x16
- Giga LAN, 10x SATA 6.0Gb/s, 8x USB 3.0, 8x USB 2.0
- Thunderbolt/HDMI, ATX

so yes you are right, if I run 3 cards the last card is running in 4x... good to know, looks like I'll be going with 2x's 780ti's then...

Decided to go gloss black background, and gloss black 2x's 420 rads, now have to decide on the blade color, screw color and fan casing will be gloss black...

Trying to determine aesthetics over performance, positive pressure and not as nice aesthetics or negative pressure and better aesthetics

Going to be a long weekend, need to finish up the fan painting and motherboard painting of the silver already got rid of the black asus stickers

To many decisions, I decided to go gloss so now I have to change the fan color to go with the rad color.. Now I need to chose the orientation of the fans and that will determine what I paint gold depending on the negative or positive pressure... 😒😒😒 plus the screw color and top sizes...

Ugh plus I need to sell one of my computers before I can put any more money I to this one... 780ti's + water blocks and fittings = $$$$$

Just a teaser with the base acrylic got so much to do, the lighting is looking pretty good, have so much more to go it's painful doing every hole and wire specified for the case.
