What is holding my overclock back

Thread Starter
Ok I have A Abit kn9 mobo with a 4200 X2 65w cpu and PQI 5400 RAM. Now i have know problem getting up to 2.6 from 2.2 but when i start playing games I crash. I run prime95 and it shows an error when im at 2.6 but i dont understand it. Is it my ram that just can not take it can i change my times to get the ram to take the overclock. Is it just crappy ram and i need to save up for some better stuff. someone give me some help here so i know what way to go. Oh and i have a 7600gt that is overclocked and runs fine with all my computer bios set to normal so i know its not that. Also have tryed with my volts stock and up alittle so that is not the problem so thats where i think it gos back to i think this PQI ram sucks but any help would be great thanks.

Try a divider at 2.6ghz and then run Prime95 - if it fails then its not your RAM.

Have you lowered your HTT from 5x to 4x?

Also, try MemTest both at stock and overclocked.
