How to increase efficiency in litecoin mining?

I had some idea's of mine own but i'd like to hear what you guys got thumb.gif

I've tried OCing my card's which helped increase hash rate but my wattage went WAY up my XFX cards dont support MSI afterburn voltage so i have no real way of testing how to get them any lower? any idea's?

Another note is it better to have "mixed" cards Mining right now i use XFX 7770, HIS 7770 XFX 7970 and HIS 7950 which net me about 1400~ Khash but at darn near 1000w (including CPU/mobo/ram HDD)

I've also tried CPU mining rather then having it sit idle do you guys think this is efficient? have my Xeon L5639(3.6ghz 1.325v) mining at 55 K/hash which seems to use about 100w of power~

Current Hash rate of cards using GUIminer 0.04 scrypt

XFX 7970 580 Khash~ OC'ed 1130/1700 VDDC 1.175
HIS 7950 616 Khash~ OC'ed 1030/1650 VDDC 1.100
XFX 7770 201 Khash~ OC'ed 1050/1500 VDDC 1.200
HIS 7770 190 Khash~ OC'ed to 900/1250 VDDC 1.175

I've also tried CGminer 3.7.1 but it seems to give me lower hashrates or same as GUIminer 0.04 scrypt and I can't get Reaper miners to connect to server I have no idea what im doing there...

You honestly need to learn how to use the command line options if you haven't dabbled with them already. They're in the readme.

My command line for my 280x rig looks something like this:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://usa-1.liteguardian.com:3333 -u Siigari.1 -p x --scrypt -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192

Yeah I know, I've used them with no effect here is mine for the 7970

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://world.weminteltc:3333 -u Xazax.1 -p x --scrypt -I 13 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -d 2 --gpu-engine 1130 --gpu-memclock 1700 --temp-target 80

I tend to get more AMD display driver crashes when using CGminer
