How does it suck? The Zune is definitely better than the iPod. I did a LOT of research before choosing the Zune....

And a lawsuit here and a lawsuit there, hee-ya-hee-yaaaaaa.......hoooooo!

I swear, it's a shame that Apple is dealing with all this crap. And I can say that I'm yet to see anyone of my friends using anything besides an iPod. I don't own an iPod nor I ever will but if I were to? I'd definitely get an iPod, the competition looks like crap and iTune is easy to use, at least for me, I sure like it better than WMP11.

Exactly. It's not like Apple has this huge club that they're going to beat the competition down with, the people are choosing a product that they like best.

Instead of suing, they should be spending their money in R n' D try try and best Apple.

While the iPod reigns supreme in the music player market, Apple’s success has not come without a price. Last year, Creative Labs sued Apple over patent infringement of the iPod interface, which eventually lead to a countersuit. The companies eventually settled on having Apple pay Creative $100 million for use of the patented technology.
Bumping this up since it even made Yahoo's front page news...

Creative's woes not over despite tasty bite of Apple

Quote:
SINGAPORE (AFP) - A massive cash download from rival Apple Corp brought Creative Technology back to profitability in the previous quarter but the Singapore-based MP3 maker's prospects are far from rosy, analysts said.

[...]

The settlement with Apple also included an agreement to allow Creative to sell accessories for the iPod such as speakers, a booming industry in itself.

Many businesses have to sue to remain afloat. And if Creative can kick start this business, along with MS, there might be some competition (which is good for everyone, as things get cheaper).

iPods WERE nice....maybe 4 years ago. Now we need something new with cooler things. I like the Zunes song sharing feature but from what I hear its limited. I want a no restriction one of these. Also I bet you could hack the zune to make no restriction.

The Zune is awesome! I have noticed no issues with it whatsoever, and I love the interface on both PC and on the Zune itself. The video screen is bigger, it's very bright, contrast is awesome, and the controls are easy to use.

Just because the Zune has M$ on the back of it, don't knock it til you try it
