Question about fans in thermaltake armor

Thread Starter
I'm trying to find out the exact type of the 120mm fans in the thermaltake armor. I took my fan out, and its labeled as TT-1225..so when I do a google search, I came up with various different specs.. wondering if someone knows which is right, to know if its worth upgrading the fans..

http://www.doomedpc.com/?q=node/58
- Sound: 21.0 dB
- Air flow: 41.6 CFM*
*Based on A2018 @ 1400RPM

http://www.directron.com/a2018.html
Max. Air Flow 38.6 ~93.7CFM
Noise 17dBA at 1300 RPM~ 48.5dBA at 2800 RPM.

http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-12...iled-blue.html
doesnt list specs, but lists Manufacturer Part # A1926-1

which brings me to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999127
thermaltake thunderblade A1926...but the specs for the thunderblades and those listed on the fans from thermaltake, are different.. 1300rpm, 17dBA

Does anyone know any actual info on these? I'm about to just replace them, even if im buying the same spec ones, just to know whats in there

i know what your talking about. i just switch my 120mm fans to the 79cfm tt fans. they look the same as stock, but push much more air. the only differance i noticed what the amp rating on the new fans, they were .05 amps higher, so i guess thats where the extra airflow comes from.

my case temps did drop about 5c since putting them in.

If you have the time, I'd say go for it. The Thunderblades do pull in more air than the stock Armor fan, I can verify this because I have a Thunderblade right above a stock Armor fan and you can actually feel the difference. The fans are about $5-6 each on Xoxide so I'd say go for it if you can.

I wonder if you could slightly overvolt the stock fans to reach the Thunderblade CFM.
