Cable Comb Thread -design and ideas welcome-

Thread Starter
I have started this thread as E22 and Lutro0 Customs have released their first design for cable combs! But as with all things there is always room for improvement. And the best source for this info is from you the modder and sleevers!

What is a cable comb you ask? Earlier types of cable combs were simple pieces of metal or acrylic with holes drilled or lasered out to create a path for your sleeved cables. This made cable management very easy and it was a very popular idea. Well, for some reason it seemed that the producers of these awesome accessories never had a steady stream of them. I for one always thought there was allot of improvement that could be had on the design. So when E22 and LC first teamed up this was one of the first ideas we wanted to push forward.

Well after allot of work and design we have come up with a sturdy and stealthy way to manage your OEM cable sleeving jobs!

This E22 Cable Comb is made so that you can snap the sleeved cable in the comb and have it tightly held into place while at the same time being out of direct sight so that you beautiful sleeving is on display the way it was meant to be.

Why am I posting this here you ask? Well I wanted to share this with you all as I know you have been waiting for a source for something like this - But we want your feedback on these.

Is there something else added you would like to see with these combs. For instance do you want ones that you can bolt onto your case, do you have a modified design that you would like done, or anything inbetween!

LC/E22 has always been shops that want your input - so let us know what you think and help us make product that you want. =)

So as this thread says please start posting your drawings, ideas, renders, anything you think that would help you have a better cable managed case and we will do our best to make those dreams a reality.

Its only by working together that new and useful tools and products like this become a reality so let us know your ideas and needs!

Wow, that will make almost any cabling look amazing!:thumbsups

can you get a couple pics of it actually in a system? Its nice to see the "studio" shots, but you really need to see it in a system to get the feel of how it looks (at least to me).

I think we can, although I don't have a full system that's sleeved up right now to use them on. (weird that I dont huh? lol)

They pretty much sold out within a few hours so we should start to see a ton of photos with them really soon.

I know we have a few revisions to come up as I know for one some people wanted to be able to mount them.

Just caught wind of these beauties this morning and see you are carrying them as well. How well do the wires stay in the comb? Also, can I assume they work with nearly any wire that comes with std power supplies?

I really like those combs. They would have been much easier than spending a couple of hours stitching cables together. They would have worked well hidden behind the mobo as I do like the look of black stitching on blue and white cables.

I bought some cable combs from Lutro0 this week. I'll post pics of the combs installed in my case once they get here. I thought it was an awesome idea to give the cables that clean look, so props to Lutro0.

They snap in perfectly, so they have a great hold.

I do like the look of sewing as well, I have seen some nice jobs done that way.

You will love them! Enjoy!

I got the cable combs today. They look great! I will say that the sleeved cables from corsair and NZXT are I think 3mm in thickness. These combs are for 4mm thickness so they are a tad loose but I guess that gives me reason to do a custom sleeve job, right? lol

I might try spray painting these either black or white.

EDIT: lol replier below pointed out my error. Just wanted to put in this correction so I'm not bad mouthing a stellar product. Because it really is, just a few months ago I was looking for something just like this, had to settle for modright alligator clips which are hard to keep closed. I must be the only guy who needed instructions for this product! Also, shipping from lutro0 was stellar, ordered it just a couple days ago, shipped immediately and arrived today. I was assuming at least a week.

I just got a shipment of these, and the ones I got are not clear like in these pix. They are clear width wise, but on the faces, they are beige. They look awful. I got them from two separate places, lutro0 and frozencpu (lutro0 was out of the 6 pins). I'll post a pic later if I get a chance. Am I supposed to wash these off or something?
