If this is what they need to do (premature paid alpha) to keep the project above water, then it is what it is. This game is a lot of fun, it's not as wildly popular as it once was but it really does deserve to be a standalone release. They have the decency to release a work-in-progress that is actually labelled as such-- An increasingly rare commodity these days.wink.gif When it's actually done it'll be top notch.

Anyone having issues with cross/trifire? Only one card working but was fine in the old Dayz...guessing it's just not supported with it being Alpha.



EDIT: Lots of people here http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154104-temporary-troubleshooting-topic/page-5?hl=crossfire with crossfire not working.

You have to edit cfg file to get monitor refresh rate above 60hz, for those that run 60+...my documents/dayz/dayz.cfg.

The issue with looking at cites and dropping half your frames still exists other than that its better but... you spend a LOT of time looking at cities...

Exactly my thoughts! I'll say I'm really liking the new inventory though. It's a little confusing at first but once you learn everything it's really good.

I find that turning off Ambient Occlusion makes the mouse movement less "delayed" and much more smooth, plus a big FPS gain in some situations, while in forests from 50-70fps, now with AO OFF its plus 15-30fps in the same place.
