[PG] Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Coming To PC/Steam "Any Day Now" - Page 12

Is there some stupid/silly film grain? That's the only thing I noticed. Some of the games seem low textured? It seems like it is made for console. I played the PS3 demo and it felt more fluid? IDK? It feels more natural with controller too.

Just got done playing about 3 hours with it. Lots of fun but I am holding off for a resolution fix. Playing 1080p on a 1440p screen isn't as nice. Works fine and looks fine but i miss my 1440p.

I had terrible stuttering and crossfire artifacts the night it came out. Playing now with triple buffering and on a single card with pretty acceptable performance(4x msaa and medium sword settings). Still the camera with negative acceleration is too lazy sometimes

The offline issue with the game is according to what i heard a bug not a actual DRM thing. I am aware some sites have reported that the game requires online but that is just bad journalism.
I don't think it requires online at all time.
This is first PC port from the company Platinum Games, and though it deserves critism we should all be a little light on it.
Even though the game is a port, it has gameplay improvements from the consoles such as boss rush and Zangeki.

So on one hand the port isn't excellent, on another it's not bad.

And i hope in few months (my treshold of waiting) we will see a patch that fixes all the issues people are experiencing, and that will fix the resolutions.

Enjoy game guys!thumb.gif

EDIT:
Konami about the offline issue:

EDIT 2:
I wonder how "Always DRM for MGR" advocated by certain game sites have affected the sales ? Statement from Platinum Games about it:
Also, for the irresponsible press who decided to publish articles saying we have Always On DRM... No, we do not. We did not. We will not.

I believe one of the site that said the game required always online or had DRM was Gamespot. They seem to have changed their articles and titles of it though.

Online bug should be fixed and you should be able to play offline now with no issues or in the *very* near future. Thanks to @konami!

A fan asked "Did you pass on the message for more resolution options", and spokesman replied "Yes, i have".

As an HUGE MGS fan this game is crap story wise but fun gameplay wise. Anyone else with a 780 getting major stutter?

What's crap about it?

I have played it for a bit more than an hour and so far it's fantastic. It's obviously a port and you need a controller to play, but everything is smooth and the CPU and GPU usage are minimal. They managed to put great cinematics and tons of action into it.

Here's some ShadowPlay footage.

Try putting "-popupwindow" in steams game properties--> set launch options...

That should put the game in borderless windowed mode. This also disables crossfire as crossfire only works in fullscreen mode.
