[PG] Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Coming To PC/Steam "Any Day Now" - Page 19

game controls are fine for pc playing on hard no problem. Set my res to 2880x1620 in control panel and forced 0.0000022x for ambient occlusion. Looks good and I have not had a single drop in frame rate with v-sync.

Create a custom resolution in nvidia control panel and set as desktop res. Same thing as down sampling you are just forcing it. Playing down sampled from 1080. Doesn't add a whole lot of anti-aliasing(8x is plenty for this game) but makes the textures really stand out.

How much of an FPS drop do you guys get when you cut, say, a Gekko up into 2000+ pieces with Zangeki and Zantime on High? Mine drops to the 30's or so and freezes for a second or two when the pieces blow up. frown.gif

I get quite a noticable drop when I chop up Hammerheads, with the aforementioned momentary freeze. On an 8350 clocked to 4400 and a 6870, with everything on medium. On a side note, the last boss is soooo damn hard, and it doesn't help that I saved in the middle of the battle after I used all my nanopaste, so when I reload the checkpoint I have none. The part that gets me is when he throws debris at you, I think it'd be easier with M&KB

That fight was exactly what I was talking about some posts before Lanlan , with the mouse it's hard to cut that debris , I would beat him easily without any damage at all and remaining at 150% health but the debris took me 100% of health each .
It's normal to start that fight without any paste , it's made that way , actually when you destroy the debris it gives you 4 nanopaste so the only time I managed to destroy all the debris I killed him without any other problem.
The trick I discovered with the mouse is that you have to move the mouse the way you want to cut (it's actually hard to explain) , if you have to make an horizontal cut you slide the mouse horizontally from left to right for example.
When I understood this I killed him easily and the game now seems all easy to me beacause the only problem I had in the game was the blade mode.

You don't have to be 100% precise on that part. As long as you get the cut close to the angle that it wants, you'll end up cutting it. It doesn't even have to be perfectly lined up to hit all of the boxes.

Still a stupidly hard boss, which I'll admit, I enjoyed it.
