Computer crashes after monitor turns off

Thread Starter
Hi guys, I'm recently having this problem where after my monitor display turns off on 5 min of standby it doesnt wake up. I'll move my mouse and press the Esc key and nothing happens but the computer restarting itself. It doesn't happen all the time just at random moments. When it comes back on it gives me the message windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. The problem event name is called blue screen. Everything in my comp seems to be running fine. Any ideas? Thank you

Are you sure the computer isn't going to sleep mode? I know that my PC has some weird issues with Sleep where it doesn't turn off the fans and crashes sometimes. Check your power options and how long it takes before putting the computer to sleep.
