3820 + x79a GD45 plus = confusion - Page 2

Thread Starter
A bit of an update incase anyone sees this.

The recent seagate 2 TB drive I had purchased was the culprit. Installing all the hardware that I had recently acquired made it hard to pinpoint the cause, but I tested the drive in 3 machines, and nothing would pick it up. So that is out to newegg for an RMA, in the mean time I'm still using my external backup 4 TB drive as my primary main storage until I can build my internal 4 TB array.

Most importantly though, as it relates to this thread, the raided SSDs worked fine, sata0 was fine, and the multiple SSD's are all fine. I will post results which have to do with drive performance when all 6 sata ports are populated.

Thanks for the help!

Never got around to doing the drive performance testing, but the raid array has been built and running with the replacement drive. The board handles all the drives populated just fine, haven't had any issues with the machine since I got things going.
