help / opinions on HDD & SSD & GPU Mods

Thread Starter
hi looking for some advice on my planned mods for my HDD, 3 x SSD's and Gpu

hardrive as you can see from pics below ive made a quick cover for the top of it and spray painted a WD logo on top of it, drives a wd green 1tb sata 3... the sticker on top didnt go with the rest of my planned colour scheme for this built, neither did the ssd sticker ocz agilitys... so my plan is to remove stickers ( i know voids warranty etc) and make sum white acrylic sheets that'll stick into place and have the manufactors logo done out of vinyl in a kinda angled half over sytle.... done a quick mock up of hhd also plan on making a back plate for xfx 270x using same process as above thoughts and opinions kindly wanted

thanks

I know I've seen SSD "casings" made before. I believe ModWithMe offers engraved versions as long as you give him (Sander) the dimensions of the PCB inside the standard casing. I've been trying to come up with how to make the entire casing out of acrylic and not have a gap like his have.

As for the HDD, I would make sure that if you were to open up the casing, you protect the disc from dust or other things in the air otherwise your drive can fail. In case you wanted to say... put a window in it.

GPU backplate could be cool, but I think its up to personal preference as I don't really like the look of a backplate when on stock air cooler.

Paint the ssd, it looks incredible and is super easy.
You might be able to pint the hard drive and pcb too.
