Not happy with my new $900 GTX 780Ti :( - Page 6

i´d say test the card with some other benchmarks and browse the WEB for that card and compare.
If you get the same benchmark values like other SAME cards like yours, youll have to face it.. it is like it is.
If you get much worse benchmark values then send the card back and consider another one but be SURE
to see as many benchmarks as needed and compare to be aware of what you may expect from the hardware
that you are buying.

try

- Heaven
- Valley
- 3dmark11 / Vantage

Also some benchmarks for games or some other popular that you may browse.

GL!

Pretty much the two worst possible games to measure GPU performance on, due to being coded like garbage. Your Firestrike score looks fine for no manual OC. The problem with AC4 is that if you drop below 60fps, it will lock you down to 30fps. Here is a video demonstrating. along with a fix. Basically, turn off Vsync ( my preference, you may try both ) and use frame limiter in Precision and force triple buffering in Nvidia settings.

BF4 is going to be more CPU dependent, honestly.

I really, really doubt your friends are getting the same FPS as you are, with the same settings and resolution, in games with a 650. That's just not happening. Your benchmark indicates your card is running fine.

As brettjv said we need to see (Framerate, GPU Clock, Memory Clock, GPU Temp, GPU Usage %, and Power %) + fan speed %.

This is critical to understanding what is happening during gaming.

Ok I played a bit of assassins creed and got the logs smile.gif

Hi AgentLemon
one thing I noticed browsing the web, and not sure if it's just a slip, but you mentioned that the machine is still performing worse than entry level systems even after several upgrades.

Did you have issues similar to this before aquiring the 780Ti?

Download and install haven benchmark and run it. Get your friend todo the same. Then compare.
As everyone has said, stop comparing AC4. We dont want to hear about that again in this thread please. Hope we can help you tho!

AC black flag apparently rapes GPU's, yet it looks pretty damn awful to me.
I would never base my own performance off a single game.

I suggest:

Metro Last Light
Resident Evil 5/6
Lost Planet 2
Tomb Raider 2013
Crysis
Crysis Warhead
Crysis 2

These all have reliable benchmarks, that produce reputable results every time.

I don't have any of those games, is there a way I can get just the benchmarking tool from it or would i have to buy the whole game?

Resident Evil 5 has a benchmark tool, as does Resident Evil 6.

They are both standalone.
