[TPU] SAPPHIRE Announces the Radeon R9 290X/290 Tri-X Graphics Cards - Page 46

Chrome does use HA, but it doesn't use the dreaded Adobe FP, they have their version, pepperflash, thats why u got no issues. Also, you have great card man, please post extended loop for at least 20 mins with this clocks/volts and vrm temps if you can later on redface.gif

Also for 150mV + i don't recommend you to run the fans at 100% ain't worth it, use 70-80% more then enough and temps ~ 70c thumb.gif

Woot! FINALLY found an R9 290 in stock and even though I got it for above MSRP - good luck finding one under $500, much less higher than that - and I even ended up getting a second, admittedly crappy, card to go along with it for free: R7 240. It'll help recoup the premium in LiteCoin when I'm not gaming on the Tri-X smile.gif Est delivery: 17th-21st! biggrin.gif

Psyside: You ever get your Tri-X yet?
I got it few hours ago biggrin.gif

Benching it right now, will post my finding later thumb.gif

How happy are you with noise on your Tri-X 290?
Want to buy one, but little afraid about noise, so I'm preferring now Gigabyte Windforce 290 little more, which is probably quieter.
I have Lancool PC-K9X case (not silenced)

Apparently, the Tri-X is better than the WF3 both temperature and acoustic wise. Also, you could say the card is Triple X rated *insert wubs*.

According to this review, WF3 is quiter about 6dB in idle and over 2dB in load:

Click on bruit under the table.
I owned very silent ASUS GTX670 DCII before, so I'm little afraid then smile.gif

Tri-X is running with slightly higher fan speeds, hence the Windforce is also hotter if you compare the two 290X that are both clocked at 1040Mhz

The reviews on tomshardware.de and computerbase.de both put the Tri-X ahead

Anand and legitreviews put it quieter than ASUS R9 280X DirectCUII (not 290X, but 280X at Anandtech)
