Well, you asked for my opinion and there's my build. Okay, well if you want 8-Cores that's $2,000 in CPU, which will put you way over budget, once you get a $400 Server Board, and $1,000 for 4GB of ECC Ram.

as far as i see it **** macs just build it for your self get a core 2 duo get big hard drive get some good ram flop out some blu rays nice stable mobo and a quardro and u have your self a ****ing mean comp

Whatever, I'd go with the Rig I recommended, it'll be very, very nice with Video Editing and you have room for other stuff - Case, Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers; and $800 for those things is quiet a bit.

nope it's socket 771 and that requires 771 processors.

ok well if i went with a non server mobo then i would need to get a better RAID controller. then i would need a PCI-x (not PCI-e) slot for the controller. which just totally screws everything up
