Yea. it's probably the card. Sorry dude! It's a hint to get an X1950 Pro anyways.

I will say this for the last time...a 7900GS with a volt mod clocked at over 720mhz+ and the X1950PRO will have a tough time keeping up.

If your not going to do serious overclocks then the X1950PRO is for sure worth the extra 20 bucks. Although since this is OVERCLOCK.NET you would think the people asking here would be looking for serious overclocks. That being said a 7900GS volt modded is equal if not probably better in performance to the X1950PRO for 15-20 bucks cheaper.

Gotta do the voltmod though! I wouldn't mind doing it personally but I still like the ATI card. But at that price he got it for after rebate, I gotta say, thats one hell of a deal.

RMA.... I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. I am not entirely convinced that it is the card that is bad, especially because of that power message I kept getting with my previous vid card. Is it possible that the power where I live is somehow bad or too low or something?? I took out my multimeter and I measured 12.14V on one set of molex pins and 6.99 on the other. That should be 6v, correct? Could too high of a voltage be harming the card?? The card only draws off the 12v line anyway, correct? I just want this thing to work

It should work.. If you're really desperate, take it to a friends house and fire it up. If it don't work, its probably your card and you're gonna have to RMA.

Have you tried updating the bios for your motherboard? I think its an issue with your motherboard.

The yellow wire should be 12v and the red should be 7v, those voltages are right on par.
