Samsung Magician 0 Physical RAM? - Page 2

I'm happy to have found this thread, I'm having the exact same issue. Attached screenshot of Magician 4.3 showing 0 RAM. I also have triple-channel RAM, x58 chipset. However there is 24GB of it, hence one of the reasons I was looking forward to using RAPID smile.gif I'll be eagerly awaiting what you have found as a solution lucash.

I've already: Made sure I'm on new newest firmware of the SSD, newest version of magician software, and bios was on the newest version from the mobo oem (evga if that seems to matter any).

Thanks for any help in advance smile.gif

Yeah, you don't want to use a Marvell or any third party controller. Even if it's a SATA 3 port, it will perform slower than the native Intel SATA 2 ports.

I have the same problem. What is strange is that in Magician if you click on "System Info" in the lower right, then expand "Mother Board", and click on "Memory", at least on my system, it reports the correct amount of installed physical RAM as well as the correct amount of free RAM. So at least one part of the program knows the correct amount of free physical RAM. Says to me that it is a bug in the Magician RAPID Mode SW and not a driver problem or something in my system.

I called Samsung but there reaction was - "re-install all your drivers and the Magician SW and see if that fixes the problem" - ugh!

Have you had any luck Lucash? I am stuck with the same 0 Physical RAM issue and have exhausted every troubleshooting strategy I can come up with. I sent info via the link you posted as well.

Any insight or nudge in the right direction is appreciated

My universal solution for 0 RAM is almost ready, but I need some more information from other people about their systems with that issue. I'm working on it. First (for beta testing) I will inform all people who left informations about their systems there:

Thank you for your help!

Just to let you know, first i've contacted Samsung Tech Support and they said me they were aware of this problem. It seems to be some conflict with windows services preventing Magician to detect correctly the amount of RAM on the system. This issue should be sorted with next release in a few weeks (months ?).

And moreover, just for fun, i've upgraded my rig a little bit. And with twice much RAM than before, aka 12Go (6x2Go), the problem is still there ahah biggrin.gif
