people recommended aida64.. but what i've realized aida64 is still too stressful, it will be stable for nearly 12 hours then crash..

I now use ROG real bench, and if it can pass the H264 bench it means you are stable.

so just do a few passes of the h264 bench and you can say you have a stable OC

After messing with a dozen 4770k and 4670k's I still say intel tuning utility is oe of better ones...yes it doesn't push the chip to the ultimate max but I have found 99.8% of the time if ittl pass it IXU itll pass on just about anything.

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-boards-software-extreme-tuning-utility.html

Ive used this software from intel to test chips up to 5.3ghz with success.

Hello all smile.gif

Just received my 4770K chip

Anybody here who knows about this Batch: 3350B175 (Costa Rica Chip)

and can it be right that I should get past 1.350V for 4.6Ghz?
i am doing 4.4Ghz at 1.260V - 1.270V right now

my old 3960X would do 4.6Ghz at 1.350V???

System Spec
4770K
ASUS Maximus VI Formula
TridentX 2400Mhz 10-12-12-31-2 1-65V
EVGA 1300 G2 power supply

My costa rica chip needs about 1.35 to 1.36v to get 4.6GHz stable.

What motherboard do you have? my cache ratio for 4.6 is 4.3 and for 4.5 is 4.4

There are other Haswell overclock threads with people that know more than I do.

This was a thread I started so someone could help me without the questions getting scrambled with other peoples questions, but i'm glad to help.
