Those VGA charts aren't the most accurate because they used different CPU's with most of those cards. Also from the benchmarks I've seen the 7950GT has beaten the X1950PRO by 10-15 FPS. Once you start getting to the higher resolutions the 7950GT blows it away.

im not going to be gaming at higher resolutions, and at lower resolutions it seems that the pro wins, even against the 512mb version.

What are you comparing to with the lower resoluctions/ Becuase if we are talking about the 7900GS then it performs the best against the X1950PRO against at lower res. If you are saying the 7950GT it still will perform better. But for the money the X1950PRO is still a very good card.

When I get my X1950 Pro back, I KNOW it will beat your card. I've gotten it to 700/1400. Software overclocking ftw.

ight cool, also are all 7900gs/gt really able to get 40%-60% overclocks?

With that voltmod I was sayaing? Yes pretty easily.

O also yes MY card will be beaten as it isnt volt modded. We have a member in the forums though that has one of the 7900GS OC'd to 745 or something on the core, then you can challenge him.

I'm gonna buy an EVGA 7900GS in a few days, what cooler are you running on that thing, and which vmods did you do, just the conductive ink mod? I'm loving those clock speeds!!!

EDIT: i just read the above post, hopefully I can hit those speeds (with the stock cooler) when I get mine.
