Yes, I figured I will make my own. Apparently the currency of the parts, internationally (from ColdZero website), is in Euros. That will make it even more expensive than US Dollars. The lightbox in itself, when converted to my local currency, will cost about PHP 3,000.00 ++. If done locally at advertising shops here, I could have (I'm estimating here) 4 lightboxes! Note that the laser-cutting was PHP 400.00 ( about USD 10.00) and waterjet at PHP 500.00 (about USD 11.00). Imagine the savings!

Thanks for appreciating the water jet parts. Here in the Philippines, aluminum cutting and acrylic cutting (and bending) are like "staple" jobs here so they are really cheap.

Yes, I do like my build to be as "OEM" or "unmodified-looking" as possible, I'm glad you took notice of that intent. The TJ07, even in its "stock" state (except the lack of paint job) is very sexy in itself so in this build, I want the modifications to be subtle in order to highlight the beauty of the case. smile.gif

What I really wanted to highlight are the parts/components so I am thinking that if I modify the case too much, the viewers' attention will be drawn away from the components, into the case.

Yeah, CZ wouldn't make much sense in your case. DIY is for the best anyhow and WOW, crazy jealous of those prices. Wish I had that kind of price option here. Could have a lot of modding fun if that were the case.

And good call on the thoughts behind the mods. That's kind of what I like too. Always like the parts themselves to be the showcase, then afterwards, step back and realize all the small nuances. Everything is looking great. Keep it up smile.gif Any plans on sewing the cables or getting/making a cable comb?

Nice selection of photos to view, while you're documenting the prototype!
The bottom section of the unibody gets crowded very quickly in these cases.
It'll be interesting to see how it does with the single 480 rad in your first round of testing.

Personally, I like IATX in a TJ07, that's one of the unique features of this case. As you said, that can always be changed back to ATX as well, sometime down the road if desired.
You discovered the potential of double-sided tape! Another thing that can work well is velcro, it can also be quite strong for supporting some items.
But drilling holes into the case and other parts is inevitable, sooner or later.

The cables, tubing, blocks, and gpu's are really looking good on that motherboard. I like the Bitspower dressup kit for the pump, it looked good with the reservoir on the midplate.thumb.gif

Hehe..thanks! :)

In a previous build I already tried sewing the cables but not to an extent of a "full-combed" look. So it will be somewhere in between a "natural-flowing" look and a "combed" look (is the best I can describe).

I have an idea in mind with regard to the sleeves, and will be posting them once I'm done. I'm about to disassemble the case for sleeving, actually. Stay tuned. ;)

Definitely, will share my results. I already have the data so it's just a matter of plotting that in a graph. For previous graphs, I have actually included them in my old posts in the Sandy Stable Club.

Although, I'm not so much of a CPU overclocker as my interest/main usage is more of GPGPU Computing. I only tried CPU overclocking just to learn how to do it. Most of the time I leave my CPU at 4.0GHz (with offset to lower the voltage a bit). This would be a factor as well in deciding between one or two radiators. :)

My tests though are for a 4.5GHz comparison. I'll keep everyone posted.

Leak-Testing

The rig is now disassembled once again as I prepare for sleeving. To keep you entertained, let me post the test-build pictures. After this, I will post my stress-test results of the rig with only a single "thick" 480mm radiator (RX480), and compare it with the results from my previous submissions to the Sandy Stable Club.

I used a temporary storage for my hard drive, for the purpose of the test build.

Ensured that the cables are disconnected to the motherboard and the video cards. I still have that 24-pin plug for use in turning on the power, so I used it.

As I have been on a water-cooled setup for years, I have had a lot of maintenance sessions. I'm already at a point of confidence where I do a leak-test along with running the computer "as-normal", so after I filled it up I already connected the cables.

The tube route from CPU-out going to the reservoir is temporary. Still contemplating on a single-radiator setup, or if I will use both, which will be a deciding factor on where I will place the pump (midplate versus bottom compartment). Also, the orientation/angle of the tubes by the midplate may change because of the extra height that will be added when a lightbox is installed.

...oops, sorry for that "shaky" picture. But I liked the angle of the shot.

Just making some graphs for the stress-testing results with a single radiator and will upload on the next post. :)

Thanks for appreciating, sir. :)

It looks far away from completion especially that I planned to have the paint job at the last stages, but here's to hoping that the readers are able to visualize the direction that the build is taking. ;)

Progress may be slowed down a bit from this point onwards as I'm on to sleeving. I only get to sleeve by finding free time amidst work, parental, and spousal duties, hehehe...

Hi Friends,

My sincere apologies for the inactivity. I am going through a very important phase in my life: I am planning to adopt my step daughter. I realized that it was not as easy as it sounds, process-wise (legally, here in the Philippines) plus all the non-legal aspects that my wife and I need to think about and plan for.

Rest assured that the build is ongoing.

By the way, my watercooling pump eventually broke down (MCP655-B). I had it replaced. Good thing it was only the pump.

Sorry to hear about the pump, topet. Glad to hear though that it was only the pump.

I'm still following your build log and you just take your time, don't worry to much about us here. Like Justing, I wish you the best of luck. Cheers! thumb.gif
