[Duplicate] After a few posts, keyboard cursor repeat rate suffers severely

Thread Starter

I don't know how to describe this problem except by saying that after making my first few posts after opening Firefox, my keyboard cursor repeat rate begins to suffer severely. Sometimes it's fixed by closing a tab or two, sometimes I have to restart Firefox. By "suffer severely", I mean that if I hold down a key, then it's not smooth: it seems to move an inch, stop, move an inch, stop, move an inch, stop, move an inch, stop, all fairly quickly - but it affects my typing as well. It's just like what happens when I have OCN Live in a different tab and the feed updates. Every update causes Firefox to reject all keyboard input for about 1 second and then suddenly everything I did comes out. That's no big deal, but the problem that I'm describing right now is.

OCN is the only place where it happens for me, so that's why I'm submitting this as a bug report.

So far, I've tried the latest versions of Firefox, Firefox Aurora, Firefox Nightly, and UX Nightly (experimental Firefox with the new UI). What I haven't done yet is I haven't tried a new profile, but I think I'll do that next - if I remember. That is, OCN isn't very busy right now, and so I'd have to wait a long time which means it wouldn't be worth my while to be without my "necessary" extensions.
