no need for 4K LOL
I usually go with intel but i'm curious about the amd apu , what's the difference between the one you suggested and the one i showed ( g3220, g1620, g2020) ?
this may be a little late.........................................
the NUC does have an ethernet port. it also has a wifi card slot if you choose to put one in in the future.
i have the newest Haswell Nuc, i have it paired with a small 4 bay HDD box, with as of now 2 4TB hdd inside. i have a mix of about 790 DVD and Bluray on the drives. the NUC has an i5 with the integrated hd5000 gpu. i installed 8gb of HyperX memory and a 128GB plextor mSATA drive, running windows 7 and using XBMC for media.
this little NUC works flawlessly!!! its handled EVERY movie i have thrown at it. and as for heat?............its BARELY warm to the touch even after a 3 hour movie. also you can go into the NUC bios and adjust the cpu fan all you want. and yes its VERY QUIET.
i WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend the intel NUC to anyone wanting a small form factor HTPC.
heres a pic of my nuc and the hdd bay. you can see by the dvd cases above that this is in fact a small HTPC.
