SLI-ing varying RAM size same GPUs - Page 2

if you don't have the option to enable sli in the NVidia control panel it's not the sli bridge.
do you have the 2GB card in slot 1? I think I read way back that it makes a difference
when running sli with different size vram cards.

the instructions for your motherboard show that in the bios is a Northbridge config section that allows you to set up the type of gpu settings available, maybe there is a setting in there that needs to be selected for sli.

I checked out those advanced NB settings. Just has the choice to swap primary graphics adapter from PCIe, PCI, or Onboard.

I have the 2GB card in slot 1 and 1GB card in slot 2. Maybe I'll swap them around to see if that makes any change.

I remember those settings now, they let you choose which order you want your intel hd graphics and your pci-e graphics to be seen by the sytem, the other settings I think are to let you choose which gpu to use as primary.

SLIing gpus with different VRAMs Used to be possible but is not supported by the drivers anymore. You have to use diferentSLI by anatolymik : http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/sli-with-different-cards.158907/

Yea, pretty much that's where half the information I found lead me while we have the other half in this thread with the logical "LCD RAM will work fine!". I just got a new SLI bridge and no luck. Like I said, Different SLI software just permanently (for that install) breaks the driver as well as using Coolbits to do the same thing.

I'm thinking this is just absolutely impossible without flashing the 2GB to 1GB but I can hardly find any information on people doing that for this. Absolutely ridiculous, man.

Try a much older driver then. If the drivers disabled the sli from working in your situation an older driver should restore that functionality.
