XFX 7900 GS Overclockability? - Page 3

I have the XFX 7900gs XT and on stock cooling I can get up to 600/900 using AtiTools and Rivatuner. I idle around 50c and my max temperature is about 75c. A vmod guide for the XFX 7900gs would be nice.

Can you guys tell me if the voltmod guide mentioned above applies to the AGP version of an XFX 7900GS? Oh, and do you know if the Accelero X1 is compatible with that card?

In theory it only applies if the layout of the two cards is identical, which is impossible, since one is PCIe and the other AGP.

The problem of upgrading the cooling for a AGP VID card with a PCIe designed cooler is that there is the PCIe-to-AGP conversion chip (that says right between the GPU and the electric contacts to the AGP port) that is very hot and isn't covered by the aftermarket HSF. It wouldn't be a problem if you somehow manage to stick a radiator/cooler onto that chip without hindering the installation of the S1
