Built to the higher specs required for server/workstation use, they are literally built to last. Just look at how many Newegg sells, I am amazed they are even still around; even the crappy ones can hit at least 2500mhz. I have 2 myself and if your friend is going s939 he will kick himself if he doesn't get one while they are still available. At 150 theyre a steal and the 170 Opty is a good alternative if he wants a higher multiplier. Just make sure he gets a motherboard that can overclock well. I recommend DFI, buts thats just me. Just google Opteron 165 and you will see what everyone thinks.
