And why do you assume that? Seriously. You act like rockstar has a reputation for badly optimized games. BESIDES, after a patch or two, GTAIV was great...heck..I've never really had an issue with it.

Seriously, it's time to get off the whole badly optimized crapwagon. All of their recent games have been pure gold on PC. Max Payne 3 being one of the best ports I've ever seen.

We just have to wait a day to see if this is real or not

I'd take it with a grain of salt, especially from a regular e-mail based customer support associate. Not because they don't do a great job, but because generally a customer service agent will simply inform the customer of what they see on the detail pages of a product and sometimes those pages are wrong. Not only that, but with e-mail associates, there can sometimes be miscommunication due too lack of hearing the associates tone of voice when answering questions. Even the best customer service systems have quirks in them.

Doubt this is true. It makes more sense to announce this game for next gen consoles, milk that market then announce it to the PC crowd for maximum profit. Its possible that this got mixed up and the announcement is slated for next gen consoles.

If they do that I'd lose all respect for rockstar

R*, mission accomplished.

Even if it were true, which it likely isn't.

Since GTA Online is a big part of GTAV, it will probably use IronWrapper like Max Payne 3 and L.A Noire. Which means no real modding, atleast not like what we have in previous GTA games.

I agree however I'm speculating that if a PC version is announced so will next-gen console versions.

This game and Fallout 4 are the only games that I may finally pony up the cash and build a rig. I have been without a rig for nearly a year and haven't felt like I was missing much. Oh yeah, why are people comparing this game to GTA IV? That game came out what, 5 years ago? Seriously. get off it, look how well Max Payne turned out, I think they have learned a thing or two since 2008.
