OC Problem

Thread Starter
Hey all, happy 2007 and such.

I am running:
C2D E6300 with *:X* standard HS
P5B Deluxe
2X512 MB DD2 4200 *:X*
Geforce 7600 GT 256
550 W PS
Flashed my bios to newest version (vers # ?)
Antec P180B w/4 120MM case fans blowing 1800-2400 depending on location.

My bios settings are
CPU Freq 300
PCIE 101
PCI Clck 33.3
Mem Volt 2.4
Vcore 1.325
Spread Spec off
However, I didnt change my Dram freq

These settings "worked" however caused monitor instability (grainy effect, getting worse as things, presumably, heated up). Could anyone help, a admitted newbie, with this?

Thanks, input much appreciated
Meh

Your problem is very easy to spot. It is your memory. You are running DDR2-400 with a 300Mhz FSB. You will need new memory to be able to clock that higher. I also suggest a new HSF.

Yep as Pauldovi said, that ram is holding you back big time. You need an 800mhz kit really
