I just discovered Orthos, and I prefer it to running dual instances of Prime95. Basically it makes your CPU work overtime. And in the case of Orthos, it appears to be running both cores 100%

The other program, which is at http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl

Is an HDR lighting analysis program. It runs all sorts of models under HDR effects, in order to push your video card.

If that's happening, something is wrong with your system. It should never ever just jump 30C. You need to test your system. Trying running Orthos + RTHDRIBL simultaneously for a few hours. While running, monitor your temps. This should stress your system and raise your temps more than any game.[/QUOTE]

Yeah, I know. Never happened before and never after. Only solution I can think of is if I suddenly got a lot of air in my water loop or something, but even that shouldn't cause something like that...

I've backed down on my OC anyway, and my cores are now 39/41 idle and low 50s at full load. Guess that's a lot more sane temps
