Cooked GameXtream?

Ok, so I had everythin together to put my WC setup into my computer, so i took it home over Christmas break, took apart everything inside the computer (so water wouldn't get on it), and measured everything out for the setup. I get it put together and then had to get the Air out of the loop.

I put the PSU back in the case, hooked it up to the two fans on the Radiator and the Pump (I know, the fans aren't necessary, but what ever) and I shorted the Green Wire to the Black wire on the Mobo Plug (I know I didn't short anything else. I'm 100% sure it was green to black, i checked like 4 times). Anyway, It would turn on for like 3 seconds, the fans would get up to speed and then it would shut off.

So, i unplugged the pump and tried just the two fans. It turned on, but the blue LED's in the PSU were very dim. I figured...."That's weird, maybe there's a failsafe or something when it doesn't detect a mobo, so i go to Best Buy and buy a cheep 350 Watt PSU and get the air out of the system with that.

Now, Everything is great, the air is out, the wiring job is decient, so i figure it's time to put everything together. I put the mobo in, i AS5 the GPU and CPU and put on their respective water blocks and put all my drives in. Now, i turn on the computer just to see nothing happen. No attempt to post or anything.

So there's the story, i guess my main question is this:

If you short the #PSU_ON wire to ground (green to black), then will all PSU's turn on? If so, then something is wrong with this one and i'll have to RMA it I really don't want to, but i want to get it done ASAP.

Thanks for the help,
AE804

If you have 2 PSU's inserted into different places, it usually turns on.

That's what it does for me, at least.

It should be 100% safe to jump it...then again I had one of my sticks of RAM die last night for no reason while I installed a video card. It seems half the time when something decides to die I can't pin point the cause.

what?

No, I removed the 350 Best Buy PSU.... It may be worth it to try to remove the Pump and see if the setup works then, if that happens then it's going to be a pain in the @$$ to put another PSU in and run the pump

You should be able to run everything... Was the PSu working before you jumped it? If so you may have fried it somehow. I have the same psu really, just the FSP version, and it runs my entire system, pump and all, just fine. Rma that sucker!

Well, I unplugged it at school and it was working fine then. I Strapped it in w/ a seatbelt in the front seat of my truck, so nothing would jostle around, and i know I didn't do anything stupid like short +Voltage or -Voltage to ground. Looks like I need to RMA it

Yay it works!!!!!

For those of you who think you're PSU has failed, plug a SATA Drive into it. Some times you need a load on the 3.3V rail and 5V rail and 12V rail.
