Depends on whether you want "cool" speakers or you want better sound.

A line source has superior horizontal dispersion, better dynamics, and less ceiling and floor reflections

Wow. Tough one. I've never heard the sound sticks, so I can't give any info on them. However, I've owned pro media 2.1 since 2001. I went through the Napster era with all of my friends wanting me to burn cd's... back in the day, (as monitors), to critical listening of Boston and ELO cd's that punished my sound card. Same 2.1 set, no parts replacements. Best $150 I've ever spent. Countless, and I MEAN countless hours of nearfield listening, (as well as house parties, for that matter). My little bro remixes on them.. Phoenix deep house scene, and I've jammed countless hours of rock...
I've never seen a plate amp run so warm idle, and last so long. Literally, over a decade.of enjoyment, with no signs of slowing down. Are they truly THX? I have my doubts... perhaps for nearfield listening, but no more. If the sub actually puts out it's rated output, I'd be amazed. It's either extremely non-efficient...(not a Klipsch trait)... or the THX certification is a joke... which I'd believe. Don't matter though, the things just continue to blast. My feelings, the best 2.1 (for the money) of the new millennium. After all, they were <$160 on introduction back in the day, and they last for 13+ years? thumb.gif
