What i had in mind

BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro P10 very quiet due to its Be Quiet Silent Wings fan and is pretty much one of the best fans ever put in a PSU

Fractal Design Newton R3 has a fanless mode up to 50% load and a pretty good PSU but its overpriced in the US

Rosewill Tachyon or any of the other Super Flower Golden King rebrand these are the oldest i will list but they are still good even today

HighPower Astro Gold and Astro PT on paper these are damm good units but no one seems to buy them and i have no idea why maybe its the name that puts everyone off?

The high power Astro has some nice reviews and I'm down for trying a new company but all their psu has the 24 pin integrated. Guess I'll have to find out how to sleeve that one

My first choice would be the Fractal Design Newton R3 at 150$

I have some user feedback on that one and its also a little better then the Astro PT

My second choice would be the HighPower Astro PT at 140$

The fractal was very tempting but it's the biggest out of all the selections. My case arrives tomorrow so I'll decide after I lay everything out.
Even though it's the caselab S3 it might be tight in there

How do you think the Seasonic X-560 is? I found some reviews that say they are almost flawless
Or even the Platinum series 660W

They are known to have coil whine on some of them

Hey man thanks for all your advices!! I loved the Fractal Newton R3 definately felt like the ideal PSU for me too and so did the Astro PT but I simply couldn't give up the modular design (stubborn as **** I know) But just placed an order for the HighPower Astro AGD-600F, the reviews on them seemed pretty good and their reviews on the PT series was amazing so I decided to give them a try since I've never heard of them before until you mentioned it. I think 600W should be more than plenty for my build. Now fingers crossed for the PSU lottery biggrin.gif

On paper they look like their are very good

But since you will be only the second one on OCN to buy it on you will be my tester lol

Would you mind taking some photos of it when you get it

I am really curious how it really looks

Just dont get mad at me if something is wrong lol

If something is wrong you could go with the brand new XFX XTR which is a rebranded and improved Seasonic G

The G has been modified into being fully modular and have a new fan added as well as an on/off botttom for a hybrid fan mode

The AGD-600F looked promising but no dice...

The same sound occured even with the AGD-600F so PSU wasn't the issue apparently it's the GPU doing that on the Ice Storm test on 3DMark.

If PSU wasn't making that sound then the RM650 wins over the AGD-600F in terms of noise.

The AGD-600F's fan is always on and it's frankly quite a noisy one. The RM650 was silent on idle but the Astro makes a crackling noise on idle.

I'll attach a video after work and see if my phone camera can pick it up

but it is nice to know that this is still a higher quality PSU than the RM650
