E6600 L627B156 Good?

Thread Starter
Just got my E6600 and wondering if this is a good batch number. Correct me if i'm wrong but it's a week 27B?. How well is this "supposed" to overclock. I heard B is generally better. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Thats a good stepping.

I have a 26B which overclocks very well with very little volts..... 3.6ghz with 1.38v , you should expect similar results

I think A = Average, and B = Better. So let's hope C = Crazy

I believe weeks 27-29 are good weeks, and with a B version, you should be happy

I am not sure about 38...

Old thread... But L627B156 is a gem of stepping. I've tested 5 of them for a French shop and the best did OCCT stable at 3700MHz @1.30V DMM

Another one did 5337MHz under liquid nitrogen. Extremely good.

Check my blog for testing results. http://beforeoverclock.com/blog/?p=29

how can you tell what week the chip was manufactured in? Is it on the chip itself, or is there a program that can check that info? Thanks.
