$3500 Dollar build Ordered today. Any extra suggestions? - Page 10

GREAT NEWS

I have found a semi local motorcycle shop that is willing to build me a matching Radiator box for the InWin 904 case.

We are currently in talks about the design.

I am thinking about something simple. The visible side and front of the Rad box will be 1 piece of aluminum just like the case. The other side and the back will be made for airflow and not.for looks.

The InWin 904 will sit on top of the rad box. The water lines will pass thru into the pc case on that back area to the top and into the inner part of the case.

Ok so I made this drawing of the basic design I am dreaming of. The logo cut outs will be backlit and or the Res will sit there. Maybe ill be able to get a giant Res built to cover the entire Inwin cutout.

Any ideas will help. Thanks everyone.

have you looked into Rosewill Blackhawk ultra case? ...its a huggge case and has plenty of cooling options for both water and air. You'll be able to fit pretty much anything you put in there.

Here's the List

Case In Win 904
Intel 4770k
Asus Maximus vi Extreme
Silverstone SST-ST1200 (will also be ordering individually sleeved red and black wires from Silverstone)
Asus Black Blue Ray SATA burner (just for the hell of it)
1 Noctua NF-A15 140mm fan
Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x8gb DDR3 2666
1 Samsung 840 Pro SSD 128GB (boot drive)
1 Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB for storage. (Want SSD storage only on my rig)

I also have 2 Caviar Green 1TB HDDs that I MIGHT use. Not too sure sense I want all SSD only and this case only has 3 bays.

Corsair Hydro H80i CPU cooler (basically the only and largest CPU cooler I can fit on this case, the h100i wont fit)

Mad Kats RAT 7 Mouse
Corsair k70 keyboard (hope the brushed aluminum will match the case)

EVGA GTX 780ti Superclocked

Windows 8.1

I know the PSU is overkill but its just because I plan to go up to triple SLI later on.

I also plan on later on replacing the 2 stock fans of the H80i with Noctual fans. But sense the radiator and fans will be the only thing hanging on the outside back of this awesome case. I Don't know if the colors of the Noctual fans will look that good so I desided to wait.

The Corsair Dominator Ram comes with the "airflow" fan. In the future I will add another 16gb just for the hell of it (this was my way to cut price at the moment tongue.gif) and I likely WILL install the fan and also get the LED indicator (airflow pro) thing that sits on top of the fan. Depends how it looks thru the case glass.

Might add some LED light strips. Currently the colors will be red and black with white LED from the Ram so maybe ill all some white LEDS so that everything shines thru the darkened Plexiglas of the case.

Any ideas/tips?

This case has no extra areas for fans. only a 140mm area were the Noctual will go and the other area will be were the H80i will be. THATS IT. Any idea what I could do to add airflow? I COULD take the case to a specialist who can make extra fan areas... or I COULD take the glass to an expert to drill out fan areas. But so far I just don't know how that would work out.

Only thing im playing with now is if I should try and install the boot drive on the m.2 / wifi adaptor that comes with the Maximus MOBO. don't know if ill be better and or faster then the Evo pro SSD

Edit: I forgot to mention this rig will be used for gaming 90% of the time. Maybe as a HT pc on my future home and some web surfing. I currently have a new 3770k Imac 27 inch 1440p. I hope to use this as the monitor for my new build until I deside to try 4k or wait for G-Synk. I will be using the mac for everything else I need to do.

You should've done the 256 Pro as a boot drive and added an EVO as storage. Otherwise everything looks great!

Only thing I see is missing is a second SSD or HDD for a master backup. I have 8 HDD's in Raid 5 in a home server so i will never lose any data at all in case of a hard drive failure.
