Hello,

finaly i ended up with 2 kraken x40/g10. I got a good price per bundle. And can now confirm that it is at least Crossfire compatible. In the attached picture you can see that there is enough room between the GPU's (at least on my motherboard). My only concern now are the ram temperatures. They get really hot, i can barely touch them.
(don't mind the cables, i still need to work on the cable management)

Hi,
How does the Kraken Control software works with the two coolers? Does it control both coolers with the same settings?

Hi,

with the latest Control software (v1.6), both coolers are controlled simultaneously with the same settings. I don't know yet, if it is possible to control both independently. With the version that came with the coolers (v1.4 i think), only one could be controlled.

Here's a pic of my setup.

Was able to get the 2 - 120 rads sideways on the front of my case.
Cards are GTX 760's and Corsair H55 Coolers.

Hey guys, Hope I didn't come to the party too late. I was wondering though, would you be able to sneak a sound card in the 3rd slot? I currently have a Asus Xonar DG, it's relatively small and the only place it fits is infront of my bottom mounted GTX 670 in SLI. I read through the post and it seems like the majority of the problem for taking up the 3rd slot is the lip that says 'NZXT'. Do you think I could sneak a small sound card under the lip and make it fit?

Hi, i dont think the "lip" would be a problem. if you sound card has a higher profile i think the pump and tubing would bother more than the lip. but i cant say for sure as i dont have any card to put in the lower slot.

I was thinking of doing this on at least one of my r9-280x cards. The one thing is it ok to keep the vrm heatsink on and use this with antec khuler 620 cause it's cheapest aio cooler i can find. Also what about memory cooling. Will the fan keep it cool enough or is it a must to get memory heatsinks? i was thinking of mounting the 2 rads in front of my case. If i go with this i hope i can actually overclock my cards.

I dont know why i dont get notified about this thread ( although i am subscribed).

Now about the ram, this is from their site:

The subject of VRam is a bit different. In our experience the VRam is completely fine without sinks, as you can see RAM modules on the rear of cards on occasion without direct cooling or sinks. The fan is sufficient for VRM and VRam cooling. If you are still concerned you can still apply lower profile ramsinks or VRM sinks. The secondary heatsink on some Nvidia cards will still allow the bracket to be mounted with the passive VRM/VRam stock cooling intact.

I went on the safe side and bought also this and later had to adjust the height because the low profile ones weren't enough and the other were to high and i used "akasa thermal tape" to stick them to the ram modules. The thermal glue is just to strong and it would've been impossible to remove the heat sinks without damaging the ram. (I plan sometimes in the future to sell the GPU-s with the original cooler mounted) Later i found this, it would have saved me from some work.

Also, You better use something like this. For me it was not really necessary but it also could have gone very bad if the water pump didn't made good contact.
