Having tried PTNuke and silver coils, I prefer the coil!
I got some goo in my "ultra pure / PTNuke" combo after 3-4 months.. changed to cheap distiled water + coil and haven't seen ANYTHING in the water yet
Benefits: Ultra cheap to replace coolant (6-12 month interval?) and works flawlessly
Cons: The coil is a metal that works well together with copper and brass. but I hear that there CAN be problems with other metals like nickel and especially aluminum.
So I guess it depends..
How is PTNuke better in most ways? If the silver is able to kill off all the unwanted particles in the water and doesnt course any other probles. care to elaborate?
imo kill coil and cheap distilled water is the way to go
And yes.. CHEAP distilled.. the more expensive "ultra pure" stuff have had all metals and other particles taken out of it.
This purification allows metal (from the blocks and radiators) to travel to the metal starved water and make corrosion more likely.
I havent read your entire tread. are you going for colored water? in that case, I have no idea how well silver will work
Cant see how it should make any big difference though.
Since you are saying you will get PTNuke regardless, I guess I would start with kill coil.. if any problems appear, change to PTNuke.. don't use both
and agree on the Puunh situation ;D fresh off the street, and he has already badmouthed 655 on 2-3 different threads, lol Edited by GaMbi2004 - 1/10/14 at 11:12pm
